I had a chat with Santa today...

 (Location - Downstairs storage room in the mall)
Me (Locking up and leaving): Oh hey, Santa, I didn't hear you come in.
Santa (Holding a Starbucks water cup): That's okay, just looking for some company until the elves pick me up. They're six minutes late.
Me: Oh, where you off to?
Santa: Out and about. Are you ready for Christmas?
Me: Not really, it hasn't felt like Christmas since I moved here from BC five years ago. There isn't any snow, people are wearing t-shirts instead of heavy jackets and I haven't shopped for as many gifts like I used to. It's all missing.
Santa: Well. You are older and you are here now and things have changed a lot for you. But I'm sure you will find your Christmas spirit and fill in whatever is missing with something special. Just wait until tomorrow. It may surprise you.
Me: I sure hope so...
Santa: So. Do you need any help getting stuff upstairs?
Me: Oh I think I got it. Thank you though... for everything. I had a good childhood.
Santa: Merry Christmas!
Me (Looking back): Merry Christmas.
